Aunt Bonnie's Fresh Apple cake

1 1/4 cups cooking oil
2 cups Sugar
3 Eggs, well beaten
3 cups chopped Apples
2 t. Vanilla
3 cups All Purpose Flour
1 t. Salt
1 t. Baking Soda
1 cup chopped nuts

Mix as listed. Bake in well greased pan at 325 degrees for 45 minutes or until toothpick comes out clean.

Topping
1/2 cup Oil
1/4 cup Evaporated Milk
1 cup Brown Sugar
1 t. Vanilla

Cook until thickened and pour over cake.
